PROVIDENCE, RI—You shop local. Buy local. Why not also support your local theater artists? This was the inspiration for the Providence Playwrights Ten-Minute Play Festival—ten minute plays written by local authors that will be performed at Perishable Theatre in Providence from July 10 - July 13. Everything written, acted, and directed by homegrown talent. We promise—no imports!

Featuring plays by James Celenza, Alison DeLisi, David Eliet, Lawrence Goodman, David Higgins, Elizabeth Anne Keiser, Ryan Morey, Frank Toti and Amanda Weir.
The subjects of the plays are as diverse as our great city.

• In David Eliet’s “Out Calls Only,” a man tries to make contact with something other
than a digitized voice.
• In Frank Toti’s “A Visit,” a gay man mourning the death of his partner gets a
strange visit from his lover’s ghost.
• In Lawrence Goodman’s “I’m Not Hamlet,” a young man whose father has died
under mysterious circumstances finds himself in a situation eerily similar to that
famous Danish prince.
• In Alison DeLisi’s “Man Bites Dog” a woman caught stealing flowers says she’s
going to God’s funeral.
• In Amanda Weir’s “Asphalt Dreams,” just lying down on the sidewalk proves a lot
more rewarding than rushing by with the rest of the crowd.

Please join us for a fast and furious night of plays—plus poetry and short monologues—for a true showcase of Providence’s leading theatrical talent.
